Manchester United FC manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been reportedly frustrated with the club’s board because of their incompetence to signings quickly. The Red Devils have been linked to several players for a long period of time but still haven’t made any major signing this window. Reportedly, Solskjaer has urged the board to spend money on quality players like Sancho and Grealish to make the team better.
United have lately backed out of some deals because of the asking price of players, which usually the club doesn’t do. It was earlier reported that the club might have backed out of a move for Sancho because of the price tag. Sancho has been United’s No.1 priority for months and Solskjaer has been hell-bent on signing the player this window.
Solskjaer has come out and expressed his frustration in an interview before the pre-match press conference for the Europa League. The Norwegian said that: “It’s a race. You can see teams building. We’re always looking at the squad and player logistics. It is definitely about quality- and it is going to cost money to get in players who are better than the ones we already have.”
With about only 50 days left for the transfer window to close, United need to show urgency about major signings. The club has only been involved in rumours and hasn’t made even one major signing this window, which will ring alarm bells.
