Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has his say on Frank Lampard’s sacking

Football can be a cruel game and a legend can be forgotten very quickly in the modern-day humdrum of top tier football.

Many of the ex-players and legends have already had their say on the whole Lampard saga that took place. Many of them were not happy with the way that he was treated or basically ousted from the club Thomas Tuchel will be taking over the side after an extended run with the PSG side where he took them to the finals of the Champions League.

“One thing I know for sure is that Frank doesn’t want any of us to feel sorry for him,” Solskjaer said ahead of his side’s Premier League match against Sheffield United on Wednesday.

Ole himself had a rough start to his managerial career. He had brief stints with Cardiff and Molde and then took the plunge with his first big team job with Manchester United. He took over after Jose Mourinho had inherited a side that felt shaky. Even though Ole hasn’t won any silverware and has failed to cross the semi-final stage of the domestic competitions the club has been patient with him.

He has been at the club for a decent amount of time and it finally looks like things are set in a place where Manchester United can look for a long-term vision with several recent transfers highlighting their focus on young blood.

Even the likes of Jürgen Klopp took some time before they could build anything substantial and it was only in their 4th year when they finally laid their hands on silverware. He even ended the 30-year Premier league drought but Rome wasn’t built in a day. Ole has backed Lampard to have a good managerial career and expects him to bounce right back.
