Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed that French midfielder Paul Pogba is set to be sidelined until December due to an ankle injury.
The World Cup-winning midfielder sustained the problem against Southampton on August 31 and seemingly aggravated it after making two more appearances upon his return even before he was completely fit.
Pogba has not featured for the Red Devils since the 1-1 draw against Arsenal on September 30 and Solskjaer does not anticipate the 26-year-old to return for another month.
While speaking to reporters, the 46-year-old said that Pogba is likely to return to United’s first team in December, “I don’t think we’ll see him maybe before December. He’ll be out for a while. He needs time to fully, fully recover, so I don’t think he’ll be back. Maybe Sheffield United [on November 24] after the international break but probably December before you can see him. It’s the ankle rather than the foot. I’m not the doctor but there is an injury there that needs healing”
Fortunately for Solskjaer, Pogba being out of action has not affected them a lot as they managed to get a win over Europa League opponents Partizan midweek and also a win in the Premier League against Norwich City.
Pogba has also heavily been linked with a move to LaLiga outfit Real Madrid as well as Serie A champions Juventus. The United starlet has made five Premier League appearances this season without managing to find the back of the net.
