Aston Villa playmaker Jack Grealish has earned huge plaudits from Manchester United gaffer Jack Grealish ahead of Friday evening’s Premier League clash between the Red Devils and Dean Smith’s high-flying Villa side.
Grealish has been perhaps the most influential presence in the Aston Villa lineup since the London-based outfit gained promotion to English top-flight football in 2019 and the English international’s run of form this season makes him a constant threat for the Manchester United backline in the forthcoming fixture at Old Trafford.
Solskjaer was vocal in his praise for the Aston Villa skipper as the Red Devils boss admitted that facing Dean Smith’s men at home turf could prove to be a difficult fixture for the second-placed United side who would be eyeing to go joint top in the Premier League standings with a win on Friday, as per reports from the Sun.
“The goal he scored last season was a brilliant goal and we’ve faced him enough times to know it’s going to be a difficult game.
“He’s a player for Aston Villa and England who has only improved.
“I don’t want to say too much about other teams’ players but of course he’s a player we know we have to look for.”
Praise for Grealish from his opposition manager is bound to cause further speculation amongst the Manchester United supporters in light of the Old Trafford giants understood to be long-term admirers of the Villa star, with a potential big-money move for Grealish next summer believed to be a major possibility.
