New owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has decided to give the current Man City CEO the freedom to make decisions about the managerial roles at the club.

The British billionaire and INEOS chief has been very active in the club’s activities since completing the 27.7 % stake at the club. The latter has been watching all the games from the stands quite frequently.

Ratcliffe decided to convince Berrada to leave their fierce rivals City and join the Red side of Manchester. Pep Guardiola’s side was very mature in their discussions and allowed their CEO to leave the club this summer.

Berrada is currently on gardening leave but he is still having internal discussions with the United hierarchy about the plans beyond the summer.

However, United have been underwhelming this season as they were knocked out of the Champions League. They are currently placed at the sixth spot in the league table, nine points adrift fourth Aston Villa (with a game in hand).

The gaffer needs to make sure that the club jumps above Tottenham Hotspur (who are placed in the fifth spot). Man United still have a chance to qualify for the UCL, if England finishes in the top 2 for season country coefficients.

As per recent reports, Berrada has started planning for the upcoming preseason with Ten Hag. Ratcliffe and his management want to keep the former Ajax boss in their plans and are analysing transfer moves according to it.

However, things might change if the club fails to finish strongly in the final months. English manager Gareth Southgate has been linked with a move to the PL giants.

However, Omar Berrada has clearly stated that he is not thinking about joining any club and his current focus lies towards the upcoming Euros.
