The Red Devils return to Europa League action on Thursday night as they make the trip to Serbia to face Partizan Belgrade in their Group L clash.
Manchester United have endured their worst ever start in the Premier League by accumulating only 10 points in nine games so far and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has come under some heavy scrutiny. Fortunately for the Norwegian, United held Liverpool to a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford on Sunday but that still extended their winless streak to four games.
United’s last victory came as a result of a penalty shootout against Rochdale in the League Cup and that also had an air of desperation despite moving into the next round of the competition. The red side of Manchester drew their last match in the Europa League against AZ Alkmaar and Solskjaer needs to start stringing together a bunch of strong performances.
However, the 46-year-old has confirmed goalkeeper De Gea will be available to face Norwich on Sunday but out for the midweek clash and midfielder Pogba continues to miss out with an ankle complaint.
Other players incluing Nemanja Matic, Luke Shaw, Diogo Dalot, Eric Bailly and Axel Tuanzebe have not traveled to Belgrade due to problems, but English midfielder Jesse Lingard is available again. Youngsters Matej Kovar and Ethan Laird are also in the squad as Solskajer continues to give youth a chance.
Manchester United predicted starting line-up: Sergio Romero (GK), Ashley Young, Marcos Rojo, Phil Jones, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Scott McTominay, Fred, Andreas Pereira, Juan Mata, Daniel James, Anthony Martial.
