Paul Ince: Solskjaer is blatantly lying about Donny van de Beek

Former Manchester United player Paul Ince who has played over 200 games for United and now serving as a pundit has picked up a very interesting point about Donny van de Beek. He has criticized Solskjaer for treating Donny poorly and blatantly lying about his presence in the squad.

When the season started, many predicted that the Dutch midfielder will finally get his chances to play more regularly for Manchester United. There were many rumors linking him to other clubs but the United authority had blocked any possible move by stating that the player is in their plans.

But after two months, we are certainly not seeing even a single game that can prove the above statement right. Solskjaer has been handling Donny van de beek in a very unprofessional way.

Picking up Fred and Scott McTominay ahead of Van de Beek in the majority of games and not giving the Dutch midfielder some game-time to prove his point, just sums up the whole thing.

He has been just a bench warmer again this season and this has led to Paul Ince questioning his authority in the squad and the way Solskjaer is utilizing the quality young midfielder who once dominated the Eredivisie.

As reported by Daily Mail, he said:

“If I’m going to buy a player, a top player from Ajax, the first thing I’m going to say is, ‘Am I going to play? Where do you see me fitting in, within the system, within the team? As a manager, you have two choices – you can either tell the truth or not tell the truth.”

“From what I’m seeing for the last year and a half, he’s not told Donny the truth, he hasn’t had any game time. He’s got £35million sitting on the bench. I can hold my hands up if I’m on the bench and the team is winning and playing well.”

“You can’t tell me that Fred and McTominay are playing well week in and week out, and even Pogba because they’re not. But he seems to play them all the time, and I’m sitting there watching them play, I would be livid.”

“He’s been professional, he’s done everything by the book. Ole’s come out saying he’s in my plans, obviously he’s just blatantly lying, he has to move in January for the good of his career.”

Donny Van de Beek’s agent had earlier revealed that Manchester United’s management was not letting his client leave this summer and this has brought in more questions about the player’s career at Old Trafford.

He may decide to stay for now but, sooner or later, he should try to find a club that will suit him and help him to play more.

What a disastrous way of handling a quality player like Donny!
