Paul Pogba excited to play under new manager Ralf Rangnick

Paul Pogba is due to return from injury next month and is said to be ‘excited’ to play under Ralf Rangnick at Manchester United.

Pogba is currently out with a thigh injury suffered while on international duty and is undergoing therapy in Dubai, but he is expected to return to the team next month.

Pogba is said to be excited by Manchester United’s impending appointment of Rangnick as interim manager until the end of the season, according to The Athletic. Pogba has heard ‘good feedback’ about the German coach from contacts within the game.

Rangnick’s hiring has been announced by the club, but it is uncertain if he will be in charge for the match against Arsenal on Thursday or the match against Crystal Palace this weekend.

Pogba’s return from injury next month will be a boost for the former RB Leipzig boss, however, the midfielder’s long-term future is still up in the air ahead of the January transfer window.

After entering the final months of his current deal at Old Trafford, the 28-year-old will be allowed to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with other clubs over a free transfer move during the winter window.

Despite an offer from Manchester United still on the table, talks for a new contract have broken down, with teams like PSG, Juventus, and Real Madrid keeping an eye on his status.

But after the appointment of Ralf Rangnick, he could take a significant U-turn on his decision to leave the club.
