Paul Scholes thinks Paul Pogba’s injury means big trouble

Pogba has returned to his prime form in recent time and also won both the player of the month as well as the goal of the month award for Manchester United for January.

He and Bruno Fernandes seemed to have brought that spark into a Manchester United side that badly needed it and turned one of their worst starts to a season into one where they were considered genuine title contenders for some time.

It seems that Manchester United have now slipped further down the table as Manchester City have a lead with a game to spare. Paul Pogba had to be substituted before the half in their draw against the Toffees. Paul Scholes believes that the Pogba injury could have massive repercussions for Manchester United this season

He told Premier League Productions: ” If you’re talking about title hopes, it’s a big blow for them, of course, it is.”

Pogba has overcome a lot of things on and off the field as he has had contracted the coronavirus at the start of the season. He has had his fair share of critics throughout his career at Manchester United.

Pogba has shone in spells but ever since the arrival of Bruno Fernandes, he seems to have revived his form at Manchester United and has brought much more consistency to his game. Part of this may also be because all of the creative onus doesn’t lie slowly on his shoulders and he can play a much freer role in this Manchester United team than before the arrival of Bruno Fernandes.

A run of inconsistent results, a jam-packed fixture, and the unavailability of a star player like Pogba seems like bad news for Manchester United at the moment.
