Schmeichel was a bit commanding and fussier but even after some shortcomings, the legendary United manager was very open with him. Peter Schmeichel has talked about all of Ferguson’s remarkable qualities. While talking to Soccer AM, he said:

“I don’t think the game will ever see a better manager than him. Communication was absolutely brilliant, the clarity of what you had to do. But then his ability to deal with difficult people like myself. We had Roy in there, the dressing room was full of it, and he kind of embraced it. It was important to him to have those characters in the dressing room. I think, in scouting, it was part of what they had to look for – someone who stood out.”

Schmeichel had a mixed type of relationship with Sir Alex Ferguson and his praises seems to bring out a good picture that he still remembers his manager’s impact on him. It is absolutely very difficult to find such a manager who can deal with every type of player in his dressing room.
