As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United defender Phil Jones has turned down a loan move to Bordeaux and has preferred to stay at Old Trafford.
Phil Jones was expected to leave Manchester United after 11 years, having dropped down the pecking order during a time filled with injuries.
The 29-year-old center-back has only made one appearance in the past two seasons, and a deal had been struck for him to join Bordeaux on loan till the end of the season. however, it has been confirmed that Phil Jones is said to have turned down the offer.

After canceling the contract of former Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny and excluding him from their first-team squad, the Ligue 1 club was searching for a new central defender.
Phil Jones was a serious target but he turned down a move to France as he was unsure about his playing time at Bordeaux, and he may now be forced to stay at Old Trafford with the transfer deadline approaching on Monday.
After joining Manchester United for £16.5 million from Blackburn in 2011, the former England international has only made 166 league appearances in moreover a decade with the club.
Bordeaux is set to make a last-ditch effort to get Jones before the transfer deadline, although they could also go for Brondby’s Andreas Maxsø if they fail to sign him.
