There were strong reports in place that were linking Phil Neville to the coaching job at Inter Miami where David Beckham has a major stake.
It was only time before all the concerned parties came to an understanding and Phil Neville has now officially taken over the role of the manager at the club. Phil Neville has previously managed the England international women’s team.
Phil Neville has worked under the guidance of some well-known coaches like Nuno Espirito Santos and even his brother Gary Neville but this is the first time that he will be heading a professional men’s team. David Beckham shares a good rapport with Phil Neville and this will make it easier for both of them to discuss the long-term goals and trajectory of this newly formed club.
There were even rumours in place that David Beckham would like to bring Manchester outcast Sergio Romero to the club but we can only see what happens at the end of the season when his contract runs out. This will be Phil Neville’s first high profile men’s coaching position and may just be a great place for him to establish himself and work at creating his own unique style of football.
"I am incredibly delighted for this opportunity to coach #InterMiamiCF… This is a very young club with a lot of promise and upside, and I am committed to build a competitive soccer culture we can all be proud of"- Head Coach, Phil Neville

Inter Miami was founded just 2 years ago in 2018 and Diego Alonso has done a pretty decent job there but it was just a matter of time before David Beckham was going to bring someone else to helm the club.
This is a long-term project and we will have to wait and watch how things turn up with this new venture but it will definitely provide a great learning curve to the ex-Manchester United legend.
