Pogba admits that Cavani has more attacking instincts than Martial

When Edinson Cavani was snapped on a free transfer in 2020 many people questioned whether it was a good deal or one which had panic written all over it but I guess he has silenced the critics in style for now.

It may only seem early to make any remarks but Edinson Cavani has hit the ground running and already scored in some important games for Manchester United since arriving.

Ole has praised him for his utter professionalism and his ability to sniff out goals and be in the right positions and even fellow teammates have a lot of good things to say about him.

Paul Pogba told MUTV “We know the hardest goals are those goals. We have talented players – Anthony Martial, Rashy in front, even Mason, that they can shoot from outside and stuff – but they don’t have this, the experience of Edi, and they don’t have the same quality of Edi as well.”

While Rashford and Martial are all good players and have their own unique talent none of them can be called an out and out striker who is a constant threat in the box like Edinson Cavani. Odion Ighalo will be leaving the club at the end of the month and returning to the parent club. Edinson Cavani though provides a lot of experience upfront isn’t getting any younger as he will be turning 34 in February.

Ole has also said previously that the younger players can learn a lot from his and how he keeps himself whether it is in training or on the pitch. His instincts as a striker are something that Manchester United may have been missing in recent times.
