Manchester United’s ace midfielder Paul Pogba has stated that he “can’t wait” to return to action for the Red Devils as the World Cup winner steps up from his ankle rehabilitation.
The World Cup-winning midfielder started in just five Premier League matches so far this campaign but Pogba appears close to giving his manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer a much-missed option in the center of the park.
The 26-year-old Pogba released video footage of his work in the gym this Wednesday, with his movement boding particularly well for a comeback after recently having a cast removed off his ankle.
On the video which was posted on social media site Instagram, Pogba was also heard saying, “Four weeks after surgery, I’m feeling good,“.
A further series of images on his stories came with captions, with Pogba writing on one of them that he, “Can’t wait to be back on the pitch.”
On another, the Frenchman, who was signed in the summer of 2015 for an £89.3million record signing wrote, “stretching beyond your limits”.
United boss Solskjaer has been cautious around putting a timescale on Pogba’s return to action on the field and the top scorer for the club last season was assigned to continue his recovery when team-mates headed to Spain for their ongoing warm-weather camp. But the day Pogba pulls on the United shirt again appears to be arriving closer and closer and it could boost the hopes for United trying to achieve a top-four finish.
