The most recent reports have claimed that Manchester United will not be looking to sell Paul Pogba or Romelu Lukaku this summer transfer window despite heavy transfer speculation.
The Red Devils endured one of the most frustrating campaigns last season when they finished in sixth place on the Premier League and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is well aware of the work that lies ahead of him. The Norwegian has wasted no time in signing up Daniel James and Aaron Wan Bissaka this summer as new arrivals.
But even though there are new faces at Old Trafford, the 46-year-old Solskjaer will have a big task of keeping hold of the key players at the club. With no Champions League football for the upcoming season, Solskjaer will have to ensure that Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku are still at the club as other European suitors might look to swoop in.
Over the last few weeks, Lukaku has been the subject of interest for Serie A club Inter Milan as the 26-year-old forward has never been able to hit the ground running at Manchester United since his big-money move from Everton back in the summer of 2017. Lukaku has admitted that he wants to work under Antonio Conte and hailed the Italian as one of the best managers in the world. He also stated that he feels unloved and out of favor with Solskjaer hinting at a possible move away from Old Trafford this summer.
La Liga giants Real Madrid are keen admirers of midfield ace Paul Pogba and the Frenchman has also explained that it is his dream to play for the Los Blancos and under Zinedine Zidane at the Santiago Bernabeu.
But it seems that United will not be willing to lose either of their two key players this summer as Pogba and Lukaku look set to remain in the Red half of Manchester itself.
