Pogba sidelined for few weeks with thigh injury

Pogba was having a great run of form. He won both the player as well as the goal of the month award but the injury curse continues to haunt him. Pogba came off in the 40th Minute of the game against the Toffees.

He was seen gingerly walking his way out of the field as he immediately held his thigh in discomfort. Pogba is thus set to miss a round of important fixtures including the Europa League round of 32 tie against Real Sociedad.

Pogba may just be available for Manchester United’s tie against Chelsea but it is still too early to predict anything.

“It’s an injury that will take a few weeks to heal,” United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told MUTV.

Paul Pogba’s time at Manchester United has been filled with a lot of injury issues which has been one of the main reasons for his inconsistency. Pogba was having a good run and showed everybody why Manchester United paid the big bucks for him.

He started to get in his groove and seemed to be pulling the strings effortlessly in a midfield that is energized with the vision and determination of the Portuguese Bruno Fernandes as he could play a freer role in this midfield.

Manchester United have faced a recent slump in their form as the defensive issues have started to crop up again. All of this combined with a jam-packed schedule without having one of their main stars on the pitch can be quite difficult. Manchester United will face a resurgent West Ham in their FA Cup fixture and it may just prove to be an indication of things to come.
