Pogba to commit on a five-year deal at United

Manchester United FC’s record signing Paul Pogba has been great lately, after finding himself sidelined due to injury for six months. His partnership in the midfield with Fernandes and Matic has been laudable as they have caused havoc after the restart. It is now being reported that Pogba is very happy at United and wants to commit to a new five-year deal.

The World Cup winner is one of the best midfielders in the world, as has shown it since the restart. Coming after a six-month-long injury break, Pogba has shown no sign of fatigue and has been full of running. The Frenchman has started in all but one Premier League games for the Red Devils since the restart in June.

Pogba is reportedly at his happiest than he has ever been at Old Trafford and is ready to commit his future. The club finally seems to give what Pogba always wanted, that is, good players in and around him. With the arrival of Fernandes in January, the Portuguese midfielder has taken a chunk of the load off Pogba to create chances.

Paul is now used a box-to-box midfielder, where he can stay deep and use his long-range passing to great effect. He has also been given the license to join-in in the attack because of shooting and aerial prowess. In the role, Pogba has been world-class and has become a fan-favourite for the Red Devils yet again.

Pogba and his agent Mino Raiola have been notorious when it comes to a move linking Paul to Real Madrid though. Both, the player and his agent were vocal about the move last summer, but it didn’t materialize. The mercurial Frenchman’s season has been plagued with injuries this time and because of the pandemic, no one will be able to pay his transfer fees.

Paul Pogba finally seems determined to stay put with the Red Devils and become a leader in their quest of glory. It seems more and more likely for Pogba to sign a new deal with United because of their title ambitions. Come summer we will be more clear about Pogba’s situation with Manchester United.
