Manchester United FC have been in the lookout of a left-back since the beginning of the summer but still haven’t signed anyone in the position. The club saw a move being hijacked by Tottenham, for Sergio Reguilon, and have since then been heavily linked with Alex Telles. It is now being reported by Sky Sports that Porto have rejected a significant bid for Alex Telles.
Manchester United have been poor this summer transfer window as they have only signed Van de Beek till now. The club has once again shown its incompetency in the transfer market and are now seemingly goofing up the Telles deal. This should have been a simple deal to do, as Telles has only one year left in his contract and has rejected Porto’s contract extensions.
It is now being reported that Porto have rejected Manchester United’s bid of £15.4m. It is believed that Porto are standing firm on their valuation of Telles, about £20m, even though he has one year left in his contract. This might come back to haunt Manchester United as Luke Shaw is the only left-footed left-back in the squad.
Manchester United should have wrapped up this deal months ago, but here they are still trying to save every penny.
