Injury Update

Pressure mounts on Solskjaer with Rashford’s [Ankle] injury woes

Marcus Rashford had a great season with Manchester United as the Englishman finished the season as the second-highest goalscorer for the club. Rashford was constantly criticized before the previous season for his lack of goals even though he always had the talent. But it is now being reported that the Englishman has suffered an ankle injury which might keep him out of the Nations League games.

Marcus Rashford has made it to the squad for the Three Lions for their Nations League games next month. But with the reported ankle injury, there is every chance of him being left out to rest and heal. The Telegraph also reports that Rashford carried the injury throughout the latter stages of the Europa League and played with it.

It has also been reported that the injury is minor and the issue could be solved by resting Rashford. This also means that having been selected in the squad, the Englishman will prefer to rest rather than play in the games against Iceland and Denmark. With the Premier League season to begin on 12th September, Solskjaer will be keen to keep Rashford fit for the league.

With Rashford, Shaw and Brandon Williams injured and Pogba and Wan-Bissaka in self-isolation, the future doesn’t look good for United unless they sign some quality players.
