Ralf Rangnick feels that United still has the potential to attract top players

Despite the club’s probable departure from the Champions League next season, Ralf Rangnick says Manchester United remains an ‘attractive’ destination for players.

United have lost three of their last four Premier League games, falling six points behind fourth-placed Arsenal in the standings despite having played one more game.

The Red Devils play Chelsea in the Premier League on Thursday evening, and Rangnick has appeared to rule out the possibility of the club narrowing the deficit.

However, the interim manager feels that United’s lack of Champions League play will have little impact on the transfer market and that the club will continue to be a massively interesting club’ for possible transfer targets.

In the summer, Erik ten Hag will take over as permanent manager, and Rangnick has pledged to assist the Dutchman in restoring the Red Devils to their former glory.

As reported by ESPN, he said:

“Of course, it would be better if we played Champions League next season but this also affects other clubs, it’s not only a problem only Manchester United has. The renewal of the contract of Bruno showed it is possible this club is an attractive club, with a new manager, a new approach, in the way he wants to play, this is still a massively interesting club.”

“And I look forward to helping Erik and everyone at the club to get the best and change the whole approach next season so Manchester United can be a top club again.”

The club has the potential to attract world-class players but financially they need to sign players who are cheaper. They have already lost a lot of money by not playing in the Champions League.

Players like Rudiger and Erling Haaland didn’t want to join United because of a similar issue. As things stand, the club needs to convince players to join the club with a promise that the club will change its fortunes under the new manager.
