Ralf Rangnick has admitted that Erik ten Hag’s arrival can contribute to improvement at Manchester United next season.
Erik Ten Hag has been named the Red Devils’ new permanent manager, and the Dutchman will join the club from Ajax at the end of the season after signing a three-year contract at Old Trafford.
Ten Hag has built a solid name at Ajax over the course of four seasons, winning two Eredivisie titles with the Dutch club.
The 52-year-old will take over as the club’s fifth permanent manager since Sir Alex Ferguson’s departure, and will be charged with turning around the club’s fortunes.
As reported by the Manchester Evening News, he said:
“We don’t know each other in person. From what I’ve seen of him with Bayern Munich and Ajax now, I like his football and I’m pretty positive with a full pre-season and having the chance to build and mold his own staff with a new team, I’m pretty sure we’ll see a different team and improvement on the pitch.”
Erik Ten Hag’s signing is considered a very smart move and coaches like Pep Guardiola have lauded United for making this move.
Reports suggest that the manager will be given a huge £200m chest to sign quality players. The manager is well known for signing players for cheap and then turning them into top players.
It’s no surprise that other European clubs try to raid Ajax every year. Surely, it will be difficult for any other manager to replace Ten Hag’s stature at the club.
