Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford insists that United’s front three must score more despite putting three past Norwich to win the game 3-1 at Carrow Road on Sunday.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side won an away Premier League game for the first time since February and scored more than once in a match for only the second time this season as they claimed a 3-1 victory at Carrow Road.
But Rashford, who got on the scoresheet with Anthony Martial, despite both missing penalties, said there is still some room for improvement from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s developing side
He told MUTV after the 3-1 win: ‘I think the one thing we can improve on is making more clear-cut opportunities for each other.
‘For me, that’s the next step. We’re creating and making each other half-chances, but, as forwards, the easier the goals you can get, the better.
‘We want to be able to just square it past the goalkeeper and tap it in.
‘We’ve been working hard and I think, if we keep that up, it’ll become easier for us.’
Manchester United have found goals hard to come by following the summer departures of Romelu Lukaku (permanent) and Alexis Sanchez (loan) to Inter Milan.
But they looked much more potent upfront with the return of Anthony Martial from injury and £15million summer signing Daniel James, who provided another fine assist for the England striker’s goal.
James, also 21, has been a revelation since joining United from Swansea, scoring three goals and providing two assists – both for Rashford – in 13 appearances.
