Rashford Can become The Best in The World Says Matic

According to Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic, English forward Marcus Rashford can do “much, much more” and still has plenty of scopes to mature into a better player for the future.

The 22-year-old striker has already netted 14 goals for the Red Devils in all competitions in the 2019-20 campaign, which is already his best run of scoring for a whole season in senior football.

Rashford has emerged as something of a leader in attack for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s young side and has been quite a consistent performer amid a hugely up-and-down few months for the red side of Manchester.

However, Serbian midfielder Matic thinks that Rashford can still become a much better player, provided he is given some time to develop into the world-class category.

While speaking to reporters, the 31-year-old midfielder heaped praise on his clubmate insisting that Rashford has plenty of potentials and there is a lot more that he can evolve into with each passing month, “Marcus has great potential, He’s a great guy also off the pitch, but I think he hasn’t used all his qualities yet. He needs to mature more and I can say every year, every month, he’s getting better and better.

Matic further added that Rashford has the chance of becoming one of the best strikers in the world over the next two or three years, “I think in the future, in the next two or three years, he will show what he can really achieve because he can do much, much more in my opinion. But he’s still young. We can’t expect him to play 40 games at the same level because he’s still young, still learning, he’s still developing his body, his mentality. He can be one of the best strikers in the world, for sure.”
