Manchester United are set to conduct a medical for Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund in the United Kingdom tomorrow, as reported by David Ornstein from The Athletic.
A deal worth €85 million has been reached between United and Atalanta for the Denmark international. The striker is expected to sign a five-year contract, with an option to extend the deal for an additional 12 months.
Previously, Atalanta rejected a €60 million bid from the Red Devils for Hojlund, but both clubs have now reached an agreement after an improved offer was made.
The young striker is on the verge of joining United, as he skipped today’s training session in anticipation of the move. The deal has been finalized, and the 20-year-old is now only awaiting his medical examination before officially becoming a Red Devil.

Hojlund had joined Atalanta last summer from Sturm Graz, and in his debut season in a top European league, he recorded eight goals and two assists in 31 league games.
His impressive performance during the European Championship 2024 qualifiers, where he scored five goals in two matches, including a hat-trick against Finland, caught the attention of Man United.
Manager Erik ten Hag has been actively strengthening his squad during the summer transfer window, with the acquisitions of Mason Mount from Chelsea and Andre Onana from Inter Milan.
Hojlund is set to become the latest addition to the Red Devils’ roster, with the club showing confidence in his immense potential.
The possibility of additional signings is yet to be determined, but the club has already made impressive deals thus far. Hojlund has been highly regarded and is expected to make an immediate impact in the Premier League.
