RB Salzburg centre-back Maximilian Wober has revealed that he dreams of playing for Manchester United in the future.
There has been no links to the Austrian defender and it is very unlikely to witness a move in the final minutes of the transfer window.
The 24-year-old has been a regular player for the Austrian outfit, however sudden news about his willingness to join the club seems to be surprising. Manchester United have completed its transfer activity for this summer and it’s higher unlikely that the board will sign any other player.
Wober has admitted that he is a fan of the Red Devils. The Manchester Evening News has covered his words as he said:
“Since Manchester United is my absolute dream club, I would definitely say ‘yes’ there, but it won’t play out. There has been no contact.”
Martin Dubravka is the final player to enter through the doors of Old Trafford. The club is still busy as they are planning a number of outgoings with players like Tahith Chong, Amad Diallo, Hannibal Mejbri signing for their respective clubs in the final few days of the transfer window.
A move for James Garner looks close as the board has agreed a £15 million fee with Everton. Erik ten Hag will be happy with the club’s progress as he has received the majority of his targets.
A move for Wobber could be saved for the future. However, it would be difficult to witness a centre-back signing next summer until and unless United decide to sell an unwanted defender.
