Real Madrid keeping an eye on United starlet Alejandro Garnacho

Real Madrid has been focusing on young stars for the future in their recent signings, and one Manchester United youngster might be added to that list.

Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga were just signed by the Spanish champions, and the two young midfielders are ideal long-term alternatives for Toni Kroos and Luka Modric.

According to Defensa Central, they are also keeping an eye on Manchester United star Alejandro Garnacho. The Spanish club has been scouting the Argentinian for some time, as his contract is set to expire next summer.

Because a new contract has yet to be agreed upon, Manchester United may have to decide on letting him move this summer if they are unable to hand him a new contract.

Alejandro Garnacho joined United from Atletico Madrid in 2020 and has had a busy few months. The 17-year-old winger was called up to Argentina’s senior team in March and made his United debut a few months later, after scoring twice in the FA Youth Cup final.

Also, Garnacho has caught the attention of new manager Erik ten Hag, and the 17-year-old could be given an opportunity in the first squad during pre-season. There are also plans to give Garnacho a new long-term deal, possibly for as long as six years.

When Real Madrid comes knocking, however, it’s impossible to say no, especially after winning the Champions League, there aren’t many better clubs in Europe to join.

Carlo Ancelotti is putting together a strong group for the future, so it will be fascinating to see if Garnacho is enticed if a bid is made.

Manchester United are currently trying to hand him a new deal as Ten Hag wants him to develop at Old Trafford.
