Real Sociedad coach praises Man United ahead of 2nd leg tie

Manchester United were very dominant in the first leg of the Uefa Europa League match against Real Sociedad. 4-0 victory over Sociedad was a thumping one. It proved to be quite a demolishing victory as Sociedad didnt even get a consolation goal.

Goals from Daniel James and Marcus Rashford and a brace from Bruno Fernandes were enough to completely seal the qualification in the first tie itself.

Manchester United again enter the second leg as clear favorites to qualify for the next round. Sociedad were shambolic in defense and United proved to the La Liga team that they are not to be messed up with. Ole Gunnar Solksjaer had heaped praise on the strikers for their pacy game.

Now even Real Sociedad head coach Imanol has showered his praise on the United team. He is certainly inspired by the ability of United players to aggressively seal the game in the first tie itself.

Imanol said: “In Turin, we saw that we still have a very long way up to United’s level. However, the difference may not be as great as we felt right after the match. I have no doubt that they will go on the field again to win again – maybe even as big as last time. This is how it is to be a great team.”

Real Sociedad is well aware of the fact that United will not let this tie be played loosely. Another thumping win will be on the cards if Sociedad decides to play safe again. Imanol has a lot of tactical changes to be made with attacking priorities being the main aim.

Solksjaer would rather go for a more young and dynamic starting eleven. An attacking approach from Manchester United players would be more welcomed as playing on a back foot would rather be less inspiring.
