As reported by the Manchester Evening News, Rio Ferdinand has hit back at José Mourinho’s analysis of Marcus Rashford.
Mourinho had said earlier that he thinks Rashford is lost while playing on the right-hand side. Ferdinand approached the scene in a completely different way by saying that he thinks Rashford is not lost and is more confident in his spaces.
The Portuguese manager doesn’t start his new role at AS Roma until the beginning of next month and is spending his last few weeks as a free person covering this summer’s European Championships on different media channels.
Mourinho likewise even snubbed Luke Shaw, maybe implying why he is unemployed right now and doesn’t seem fit to be a pundit.
The former United director picked what he believes is the best England starting eleven this mid-year, and snubbed a few of his former players that he had managed a few years back. Ferdinand side in response to Mourinho’s jab by saying: “I don’t think he looks broken, I just feel that he looks more comfortable on the left-hand side. But I’d say the same about Sterling. Sterling looks better on the left, Grealish probably looks better on the left.”
