Rio Ferdinand sheds light on Ravel Morrison’s journey

Ravel Morrison made his debut at a very young age and came through the ranks at Manchester United with Alex Fergusson giving him his debut.

Morrison became a free agent last month after he brought his short spell at Deen Hag (the dutch Eridevise side) to an end.

He came on as a guest on Rio Ferdinand’s Vibe with Five podcast where he explained everything that he had been through in his career filled with a lot of ups and downs. According to Rio Ferdinand, Sir Alex Fergusson said that ravel Morrison was on par with Scholes and Giggs at 15.

This speaks about how highly Morrison was regarded by the staff and club at the time but things don’t always go as planned and the world lost another child prodigy who could have taken the world by storm.

He also spoke about how he played around other talented academy graduates like Jesse Lingard and Paul Pogba that made the game really easy for him.

Many people see all the glamour and potential but a footballer is much more than just all of that. More than anything else a footballer or any sportsperson must have the discipline to make it to the top.

Morrison revealed that he was with the wrong crowd when he was younger and would come in at 2 in the night at times and that messes up your entire lifestyle for a footballer as you’re not eating the right things or sleeping at the right time.

Ravel Morrison really loved the game, and even Rio admitted in his podcast that he was in awe of ravel Morrison ever since a young age but this just goes to show how young minds can be easily maneuvered towards bad things especially if there isn’t anyone to keep a check.
