As reported by Metro, Arsenal legend Robert Pires has praised new signing Raphael Varane and has said that he will adapt the English Football.
Everyone is waiting to see the exciting duo of Harry Maguire and Raphael Varane play together. They both are one of the strongest defenders in world football right now. They are experienced and very strong both, aerially and on the ground.
They were statements made about Raphael Varane that he will find it difficult to play in the Premier League. But all those words have been put to rest by Robert Fires, who has said that Varane has the experience to deal with the intensity of the new league.
He said: “Yes, Raphael will certainly adapt to English football. Surely there will be matches in which he will suffer physical clashes, but he is now a player of great experience. I see him well paired with Maguire, they will form an excellent duo.”
On paper the defensive pair looks like the best in the Premier League right now. Maguire had an excellent season with England and Raphael Varane has always been among trophies. Both were unable to win a silverware last season but will be targeting their next trophy with Manchester United.
Raphael Varane is yet to fly to England to complete his medical. The time is being stretched and that will cause a problem as Varane will not have much time for his preparations ahead of the new season.
Meanwhile, Harry Maguire has returned to the preseason training camp and will be looking forward to play the Premier League opener against Leeds.
