Romelu Lukaku gives a staunch defence of Jose Mourinho

In a recent interview with United press, Romelu Lukaku described his fondness for Mourinho and the unity between the team, fans and coach. He termed the unity as ‘something beautiful’ and also praised the Boss for his consistent trials to improve the team.

The Belgian international spoke fervidly about the persevered approach the team and United coach have, keeping on the hard work to build the momentum after their win at Burnley.

Ahead of the match at Vicarge Road, Lukaku gave a strong defence of his Manager.

“A lot of people are coming for the manager and I don’t understand why. He’s just trying to build a fortress out of this football club and we as players we know that.”

“The manager is a winner, he’s somebody that is a real personality. He wants to help us, he wants us to win and it’s normal that when he loses he gets angry so I don’t understand why some people are trying to come after him because some managers in this league are getting a pass, and he doesn’t.”

“I think people should respect him more but we, as players, are going to react on the pitch. When we played against Burnley that was the first [reaction] and now we want to keep going.”

“Watford are currently riding high in the league with four wins but four and while Lukaku knows they will be difficult opponents on Saturday, he said the Reds are fully aware of what’s needed if Mourinho’s men are to come away with three points.”

Maybe, unity among the team can revive the winning spirit among the players, and the words of Romelu Lukaku surely are the scope of optimism for all United mates.
