Romelu Lukaku was sold to Inter Milan at the beginning of last season as Solskjaer didn’t see the Belgian in his future plans. Lukaku has gone on to be one of the best strikers in the Serie-A and is enjoying life in Italy. Last night, Lukaku was asked about Manchester United’s season and the Belgian showed his class and passion for the Red Devils.
Romelu Lukaku has had a fantastic season with Inter Milan as Antonio Conte’s system favours Lukaku’s style of play. The Belgian centre-forward has scored 33 goals for Inter this season and has helped the side reach the Europa League finals. His partnership with Lautaro Martinez upfront has brought Lukaku a lot of plaudits.
The Belgian, after taking his side to the Europa League final, was asked about Manchester United’s season and their striker force. He said “I think United tried their hardest [in the semi-final]. I think they had a really good season and Ole did a good job. The players they did really well, Greenwood’s coming through, and Martial and Rashford. I expected all of that. I’m really happy for them, they look really good next season, I have no doubt.”
Lukaku was heavily criticized at Manchester United, but it seems that he still loves the Red Devils and is hoping the best for them.
