Sanchez’s future up in the air

Manchester United FC are looking to offload Alexis Sanchez to Inter Milan but are yet to agree on a transfer fee. The Chilean is enjoying his life and football in Italy with Antonio Conte’s system, which gives him freedom on the pitch. United have reportedly given Inter a 10-day bracket to decide on Alexis’s future and if they want to sign him permanently.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ed Woodward are desperate to get Alexis Sanchez off the United wage books. The Chilean had a dismal outing in a United shirt, which was a shock for everyone in the footballing world. Sanchez was ripping the Premier League apart with Arsenal which gained him a move to Manchester United and their fabled No.7 shirt.

Sanchez was the highest-paid player in the Premier League who produced only five goals in 32 starts for the Red Devils. With his high wage bills and low goal contribution and Woodward decided to loan him out to Inter Milan, at the beginning of the season. In Italy, he had a torrid start to his Milan career which was plagued with injuries.

But since the restart, Sanchez has looked like his former self and has been in great form. He is thriving in Italy, because of the general slow pace of the game in the league. Since the restart, he has scored three goals and provided seven assists in just 10 games and wants to stay at Inter.

His loan deal at expires on 5th August and United are unwilling to send him on-loan again to Inter. United want the Italian club to sign him permanently if they want him to play for them in the Europa League. The Nerazzurri want to sign Alexis and the Chilean wants to stay, given he has to take a huge pay-cut.

United value Alexis at about £20m, but Inter reportedly want to way only about half of that of little more. It is reported that Woodward has given the Inter Milan board 10 days time to decide on Sanchez’s future. It is widely believed that United will accept a bid about £14m for Sanchez and Inter will have their player.
