Manchester United are not currently pursuing a deal for Davide Frattesi, despite previous reports linking the Italian midfielder to the club.
According to Sassuolo’s CEO, Giovani Carnevali, United have not initiated any discussions with the Italian club regarding Frattesi.
Earlier this year, it was reported that the Red Devils sent scouts to observe the £30 million-rated midfielder in action for Sassuolo.
However, it appears that United’s interest has not progressed since then, as Carnevali mentioned the names of three other clubs are currently in talks to sign Frattesi.

The player recently scored his first international goal for Italy during their Nations League semi-final loss to Spain. While talking to Il Messaggero, the CEO said:
“We’re talking to Roma, Juventus and Inter.”
Davide Frattesi, who hails from Rome, has expressed his desire to join his childhood club, AS Roma, which is currently managed by former Man United coach Jose Mourinho.
Sassuolo’s CEO, Giovani Carnevali, downplays the idea that Frattesi could be a replacement for Sandro Tonali, who is set to join Newcastle United. Even, AC Milan have not shown any interest in the energetic 23-year-old midfielder.
Meanwhile, United are already busy securing a deal for Chelsea’s Mason Mount but may target another midfielder this summer.
