Manchester United got an incredible win last night against Paris Saint-Germain as the Red Devils beat the Parisians in their own backyard. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was repeatedly questioned before this game, due to United’s poor start to the season. But former United goalkeeper, and Solskjaer’s teammate, Peter Schmeichel, has lauded the Norwegians tactics and said the United boss got is substitutes spot on which turned the tide to Manchester United’s favour.
The Red Devils have started the season poorly and after a bad transfer window, talks of Pochettino have already started. But Solskjaer is determined to do well at Manchester United and has once again proven that he is the right man for the job. Even with several key players missing, United turned up well and got the three points deservedly.
In his recent interview with MUTV, Schmeichel said: “Not only did he (Solskjaer) get it spot on tactically to begin with, but with 20 minutes to go he changed the system and his coaching performance was absolutely spot on.” The Norwegian manager showed his versatility and tactical knowledge last night.
Manchester United started with a 3-5-2 formation and later changed to a 4-4-2 (diamond) to change the game on its head. With Pogba’s arrival on the pitch, Manchester United suffocated PSG in their own half and the Parisians couldn’t get the ball out.
