Scott McTominay is a homegrown scouser and the Manchester DNA seems imprinted in his veins. He has been with the club since the tender age of 5 and for 18 years he has had the honour to be affiliated with this club.
With Harry Maguire being given a rest Scott Mctominay took the captain’s armband and led his team to victory from the front with a true skipper’s performance on the day.
Scott McTominay told BT Sport. “So to get that is a huge honour. I love this football club and it has been my whole life, so it is a real honour.”
Scott headed Manchester united in front in just the starting few minutes of the game as Manchester United looked at ease throughout the game. They controlled most of the midfield and were rarely troubled by Watford.
Manchester United should have probably scored more but they got through the game with many of their regular starters not present. Scott McTominay has always put in a shift in the midfield whenever required.
The coach and all the staff were full of praise for the Scottish International as he headed in Manchester United’s only goal in the game. Scott McTominay has scored 4 goals in all competitions this season and has already established a good rapport.
At the tender age of 24, he is an icon to some of the younger players in the squad who look up to him when it comes to work ethic and hunger. He has all the required trademarks of a leader and will hopefully do wonders with his boyhood club one day.
