Following rumors from Italy, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic’s agent has rejected claims that his client has held interviews with Manchester United.
For a long period, the Lazio midfielder has been linked with Manchester United. The 27-year-old was close to a move to Old Trafford in 2019, and his name has been mentioned frequently since then.
With United in need of midfield reinforcements this summer, Milinkovic-Savic is back on their radar. With Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba among those expected to leave the club this summer, incoming manager Erik ten Hag is expected to sign one or two midfielders.
It’s unclear whether Milinkovic-Savic will be a United target again this summer, despite rumors in Italy that the Serbian international had previously held conversations with the club about a possible transfer.

Foot01 earlier reported that Milinkovic-agent Savic’s agent Mateja Kezman had claimed that they had spoken to United and PSG, with the Serbian midfielder preferring a move to Old Trafford.
Kezman has since denied ever making such remarks. The agent blasted the rumors, denying that any negotiations had taken place.
He said to TuttoJuve: “It’s fake news. I have never given interviews in the last period, some journalists are really incredible! I’m very angry, it is a lack of respect towards me, towards Sergej and Lazio.”

This response seems to be a major blow for United but it doesn’t mean that the club has moved away from the transfer. The Lazio midfielder still prefers United and it’s unlikely that he will move to PSG or Juventus.
Declan Rice and Kalvin Phillips are the other two names who have been connected with United.
