Sergio Romero is arguably the best second-choice goalkeepers in the world, with Manchester United and has done well whenever called upon. The Argentine has bag loads of experience under his belt but has played second fiddle to De Gea in his United career, But it is now reported that Romero is looking to move on from United this summer transfer window.
Romero has been fantastic for Red Devils whenever he has played for the club and has 17 games this season. The 33-year old Argentine international has kept 12 clean-sheets this season but is ready to move on from Old Trafford. Romero has recently been linked to a move away from Old Trafford with links from Chelsea and Leeds United according to ESPN.
Romero feels betrayed by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, as the latter fielder De Gea in the semi-finals of the FA Cup and Europa League. Romero had started in all the previous games in both the competitions and performed well. But the United manager chose to start with De Gea, who has been miserable in big games.
Sergio Romero is nearing the twilight of his career and will like to play as much as possible, which will not happen at United. The Argentine’s sale could be used to generate funds and will also mean the arrival of Dean Henderson back to Old Trafford.
