As reported by Sky Sports, Sheffield United has been more serious about signing Manchester United winger Amad Diallo on a loan deal. They have been trying to push for a deal and are confident that Amad will play for them this summer.
Sheffield United was relegated from the Premier League last season and it was an indication that they are seriously lacking some attacking options. They scored just 20 goals throughout the entire season and conceded 63 goals. It was not a surprise to see them linger at the bottom of the table with such attacking players.
Meanwhile, Amad Diallo had a good season with Manchester United. He didn’t feature regularly but showed signs of great progress in the Europa League matches and also the preseason games.
Manchester United is open to accept a one-year loan deal. They also want their young Ivorian Coast winger to get enough game-time to continue his development.
With the arrival of Jadon Sancho and Jesse Lingard staying at the club, it would be more preferable for Amad to live on a temporary deal.
Other United’s academy graduates like Shole Shoretire, Teden Mengi, James Garner could also make a loan move for their development.
Brandon Williams has been targeted by Norwich and the chances of him joining the Canaries look incredibly high. Axel Tuanzebe, Andreas Periera, and Tahith Chong have already joined their respective clubs on loan.
