Sir Alex Ferguson admits that he was never dependent on notes

Sir Alex Fergurson has said that he never ever depended on notes while he was the manager at Manchester United.

Ferguson was a legendary manager at Manchester United despite troubled times during his stint. As a manager, he has won 38 titles with Manchester United, 13 of them being the Premier League title. Two renowned Champions league trophies were one of his gold achievements as a manager.

But he had a habit that many managers today don’t have. The most common habit that you see is a book or few pages in the manager’s hands. Many of them like Jose Mourinho, David Moyes, Brendon Rodgers has been seen writing notes as they guide their team.

Many assume that they may be writing the tactical mistakes or mistakes caused by their players. But former Legendary manager Alex Ferguson has said that he was never ever dependent on notes, rather he believed in his memory.

As reported by Daily Mail, Sir Alex Ferguson said: “As a manager, I depended on my memory. You see games today where some managers take notes during the match. I never did that. I always depended on my memory and when I went to the dressing room that was very powerful for me. I can’t understand why a manager would take notes during the game. Put your head down to write and you miss a goal?”

You can see that he has a point in it. Sharping your memory will obviously help you to remember more and be in that moment. Ferguson was always seen as a pretty accurate analyzer. His tactics were spot on and his team should cover up every mistake that they did before.

He has highlighted the importance of memory in his illustrious career and the major reason behind his success at Manchester United. Managers should have a close look at this one.
