Sir Jim Ratcliffe reveals first impression of the Glazers at Manchester United

Sir Jim Ratcliffe has revealed that he was impressed by the Glazer Family during their meeting regarding the potential takeover of Manchester United.

The identity of the club’s future owner is still unknown, as Ratcliffe’s bid and an offer from Qatar are still under consideration by the American family.

Despite the opening of the transfer window, there has been limited progress, and the future of Man United remains uncertain.

According to The Times, Sir Jim Ratcliffe has shared his initial impressions of the Glazer family in an excerpt from his new book. Ratcliffe mentioned being charmed by the Glazers during their meeting when United was up for sale.

“We went to see them and they were charming. They [Avram, Joel, Kevin, Bryan, Darcie and Edward, children of the late Malcolm Glazer] are all very nice, despite the press they get. Joel was really hospitable. But the club is owned equally by siblings and you can’t talk to that many siblings, really.”

Although the Glazers may have found their fan in Ratcliffe, the United supporters are pressing them to leave the club as soon as possible.

Since taking over the club, the American family have failed to invest considerably in signing quality players and supporting the club’s infrastructure.

The club has failed to deliver on the field and many of those blames are directed towards the current owners.

As things stand, Qatars Sheikh Jassim is leading the race to purchase the club and his recent bid has already been accepted by the United hierarchy.

An announcement is close and the fans will be happy to see the Qataris taking over as the new owners of Manchester United.
