British billionaire and Manchester United fan, Sir Jim Ratcliffe wants to land PSG Sporting Director Luis Campos if he takes over Old Trafford.
The Ineos chief wants to buy his beloved club and will be ready to make a bid for the right offer. He had revealed that he will not shy away from planing a bid if Glazers decide to put the club on sale.
But, French publication Le Parisien has now revealed that Ratcliffe may have already decided his back room staff members. John Murtough is currently the first Sporting Director of United and Darren Fletcher is provided the role as a technical director.
Having Campos will be a major coup since the director has overseen major success at several top club’s. He worked as a scout at Real Madrid during Jose Mourinho’s tenure before joining Monaco. At the French club, he had a hugely successful three years before moving to Lille for a short tenure.
He soon joined PSG as a football advisor and has since planned an impressive transfer window with the French giants. United will have a huge bonus by their side if they are able to lure Luis Campos to Old Trafford and it has been reported that Ratcliffe is willing to hand him a huge contract worth £7 million per year.
However, the Red Devils will face competition from Chelsea as Todd Boehly is also interested in the Portuguese’s services.
