Manchester United FC have failed to offload players this summer transfer window, even though it was deemed to be an important summer. The club has only managed to offload Alexis Sanchez to Inter Milan with Jones, Smalling, Rojo, Pereira and Dalot also linked to moves. It is now being reported by the Manchester Evening News that Smalling and Rojo have been training alone, away from the first team.
Chris Smalling and Marcos Rojo have both been closely linked with moves away from Manchester United this summer. Smalling is reportedly very close to a move to AS Roma and United expect a bid very soon. The former United captain is now training alone, away from the rest of the United first team with a permanent move imminent.
On the other hand, Marcos Rojo had reportedly impressed Solskjaer with his work rate and enthusiasm in training. But according to reports now, the Argentine international has joined Smalling in training away from the rest of the team. He also expects a move away from United with links from Lazio.
Manchester United would be happy to sell both Rojo and Smalling as both the defenders aren’t in Solskjaer plans. The sale of the defenders would bring significant cash to United which could be used elsewhere.
