It appears unlikely that Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat will make a move to Manchester United before the transfer window closes, as reported by Manchester Evening News.
Despite ongoing links between the Morocco international and United in recent months, and reports that the midfielder is waiting for a move to the club, the situation has evolved differently.
Fiorentina had shown a willingness to consider an initial loan deal, but United have been tracking as many as 10 midfielders.
Moreover, it’s suggested that the interest in Amrabat from United have been exaggerated in the Italian media. If Amrabat does end up leaving Fiorentina this summer, it is considered “unlikely” that it will be for United.
Amrabat, who earned praise from Morocco manager Walid Regragui as a “world-class” player during the World Cup, has been training separately from the Fiorentina squad this month.

The Red Devils have been active in pursuing their top transfer targets this summer. They secured the signings of Mason Mount, Andre Onana, and Rasmus Hojlund before the end of the preseason.
While Amrabat has been linked with the club for several weeks, Fiorentina have not received any offers for him. This lack of movement may be related to the club’s Financial Fair Play situation.
Consequently, it’s possible that United are exploring other options for their midfield. While Amrabat has been a rumoured target, they may have other players in mind before the transfer window closes.
Candidates such as Everton’s Amadou Onana and Bayern Munich’s Ryan Gravenberch could also be under consideration. Ultimately, only time will reveal which player the club decides to pursue before the transfer deadline.

Amrabat could potentially serve as a backup option for Man United if they are unable to secure their primary transfer targets.
The Moroccan midfielder is now attainable at a lower cost, and he has expressed his willingness to join the club.
