Anthony Elanga was one of the star players for Manchester United against Brentford. He scored a wonderful goal through an Aaron Wan Bissaka assist. Being the first goal of the match, what amazed everyone was not his numbers but the way he took that cross and scored a smashing volley.
Elanga was again on the scoresheet when Manchester United played against QPR. He has already started impressing Ole Gunnar Solksjaer and it has started giving him huge problems.
As reported by the club’s official website, Solksjaer said after the match against Brentford:
“He’s giving me a great problem if you like, as you say, players who score goals, who’ve got that enthusiasm, energy. We want to play a pressing game, there are no thrills, if you ask him to run over to the cricket ground and get us a drink at halftime, he’d do it. That’s the type of lad he is.”
“He’s done himself the world of good. We know he’s a good player, we know he’s a good lad. He works so hard, he’s always smiley, bright, asking what more he needs to do, he’s so hungry to improve and get better. He can play wide left, wide right, upfront.. so anywhere along the front line. He’s going to be an asset.”

Anthony Elanga has been so clinical in front of the goal. His powerful finishing, creating chances from tight spaces, clever positioning has all been impressing Solksjaer. Being so young, he already has all the resources to become a complete striker.
If he continues to play like this, he is sure to get many chances to play next season. Anthony Elanga will be happy that he is getting a chance to learn from Edinson Cavani and play with him. He will be a great mentor for the young striker.
