As per ESPN, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will not rule out signing another striker in the upcoming summer transfer window.
This update comes only days after the club got the services of Edinson Cavani for one more year. The Uruguayan justified his contract with a wonderfully taken goal against Fulham yesterday night.
With the transfer window coming up, United should strengthen their attack going into next season. With Harry Kane making himself accessible, another universe of chances could now be reachable. While Cavani has flaunted his value, the same can’t be said to describe Anthony Martial. The Frenchman has been going through a miserable season, far away from the achievement he obtained last year.
Going into another season with simply these two players would be a dangerous recommendation. All things considered, Cavani is in the last long stretches of his career due to his age and can’t be required to begin the week in, week out.
Solskjaer comprehends he needs a squad with more depth to challenge for more titles next season. Notwithstanding our success, it has been clear that the squad needs quality, strength and depth in specific positions.
Solksjaer said: “I can’t say we’re not signing a striker, of course not. Because we’re building towards a better squad, we’re top three two years on the bounce but not where we want to be.”
Solskjaer knows he needs a fresh attacker in his squad to play next season. Harry Kane is available but Solksjaer refused to comment on the Tottenham Striker. The English captain is probably the best striker in world football and United will discover not many players better than him to add to their squad. He won’t come modest and it stays not yet clear what we can do.
Notwithstanding how the remainder of the season works out, it can’t be contended that United has gained a little depth this season. It would be reckless of us not to expand our attack next season.
