As reported by Goal, Ole Gunnar Solksjaer expects Paul Pogba to stay at Manchester United after the transfer window shuts close at the end of this month.
Paul Pogba hasn’t signed a new contract with Man United until now. United is currently in talks with his agent Mino Raiola about a potential deal.
The agent has been notorious about his client and he had admitted last year that Pogba wants to leave Manchester United. The player himself didn’t make any official statement and has remained quiet when asked about his future.
Currently, Solksjaer wants the star midfielder to stay at Manchester United as he sees him as a key player in his developing squad.
Solksjaer said: “Yes, I expect Paul to be here when the first of September comes. If you’ve got a five-year contract or a one-year contract when you sign for Man Utd you have to rise to the challenge of performing on a consistent level. I’m not worried whatsoever that the length of any player’s contract is changing the level of their motivation and inspiration. You want to play well for your team, your teammates, yourself, your family, every time you play.”
One of the reasons that Paul Pogba has been hesitating to sign a new contract is because of PSG’s strong interest in him.

PSG has been trying to lure the French midfielder to Paris and is ready to offer a huge contract to him. They have already prepared an offer worth £600,000 per week.
Paul Pogba was top class for France in the Euros and he continued his fine form by providing four assists for Manchester United against Leeds in the opening match.
We think that PSG’s interest has cooled down and Paul Pogba seems to be focused on his performances for Manchester United.
He is certain to stay for one more year but will he sign a new contract? That’s the main question running through everyone’s mind.
