Solksjaer has highly praised Anthony Elanga after his recent preseason performances. Elanga scored a brilliant goal against QPR yesterday and was very lively throughout the match.
He has been improving steadily and showing signs of maturity in his performances. Solksjaer has admitted that Elanga is important for the team and he has already included the young striker in his plans for the future.
After the preseason friendly against QPR, Solksjaer said to MUTV: “It would be easy to say the boy should go on loan but he’s doing so well. He’s electric, his pace, his skill, he’s not afraid of anything, he’s got the courage and bravery of a Man United player. Today he created chances for others and for himself, he scored a goal with his most difficult opportunity, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s going to be staying here. It depends, of course, we know it’s important for him to develop and get game-time but he’s one of them we’ve not really decided. Because if he keeps on like he is I might want to keep him.”
He has been very wise with his words regarding the player’s development. Anthony Elanga requires game-time and if required the club may send him on loan. But if he continues to perform like this, Solksjaer and his management will be very keen to keep him with them for the upcoming season.
Anthony Elanga started against Derby County and was given the chance against QPR as well. He scored the second goal for United from a very tight angle.
