Solksjaer has the perfect answer to the comments of Mino Raiola on Pogba’s condition at the club.
Raiola has hit out at United claiming that Pogba has not been used well in the team and his ability is not shown because of him getting not enough chances at the club. He even suggested that now it’s time for him to move out of the club suggesting that a transfer is near.
This incident happened just before United’s clash against RB Leipzig. Pogba was left on the bench and was given the chance to play at the very end where he scored the header to give United something to cheer about.
The comments were really bad considering that it came up at a very wrong time by Raiola, that too just before the game which is not good sportsmanship. Solksjaer and even many United legends blasted Raiola and even Pogba for their comments and the player’s character for the team.
Many even suggested that the player should be given the permission to leave because of this blasphemy from his agent regarding his desire for a transfer.
Solksjaer was quick to react to the comments of Raiola and he did that so calmly with some sharp words.
The Manager said: “You have to ask Paul if he’s happy or unhappy. I’m not going to speak for him. He is focused on doing his best for the team when he’s here. He is working hard in training and he just needs to focus on his performances. Now is not the time to discuss transfer targets and ins and outs.”
That was really well taken by the manager and his words meant business. Raiola should be focused on his work rather than the functioning of the team. United has been quick to answer these agent talks. Rather this answer should even make Pogba think that whether he is here for the team or he is here just to come up in the transfer news every window and earn some news for him.
The debate goes on for Pogba and United but we all know that the manager is pretty clear with his words. He wants team sport and not individual games for the club.
