Solksjaer: I am proud of my team, these players have a great future

Manchester United defeated Wolves by a 2-1 scoreline as Solksjaer’s team showed a promising performance.

Solksjaer was so proud of his team as they stepped up to win the last game of this season.

Solksjaer played many young players and gave debuts to Hannibal Mejbri and Will Fish. Anthony Elanga made his second senior appearance for United and gifted Solksjaer for his trust in him.

He got the first goal of the match as he scored through a powerful header through a delightful Daniel James cross. Solksjaer had 7 academy players on the pitch during the match which is such a great sight to watch.

Solksjaer was very happy with the win. While talking to the club’s official site, he said: “[I’m] very happy. Proud of them. [The lads] took the ball well, created chances, and got the win they deserved. Today just made me smile, all these players expressing themselves like we want to see and no injuries. We had the pace and enthusiasm of Elanga and Amad, Dan James, then you’ve got Donny, Nema, and Juan who have got all the experience and quality. It worked well. You’d like to say that you would see some of these [young players] in the future, of course. I think it was a game in the spirit of Man United, Sir Alex, and Sir Matt, that you give kids the chance. My job is to do my best for Man United, and I felt today, as I said before, it was a Man United-spirited performance with loads of kids that made their debuts, Elanga scored his first goal, so today I was really proud of them.”

United legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson and Sir Matt Busby had this quality in their veins of giving chances for their academy players and building them into world-class players.

Solksjaer was always optimistic about giving chances to youth players. This has started bearing fruit for him and the club. United is growing again into a wonderful football club that gives chances to their academy players.

Kuddos to Solksjaer and his coaching team.
